Recently, I spent a week in Bend, Oregon enjoying the area’s interesting geology. I dug for Oregon Thundereggs, Oregon’s state mineral, at Richardson’s Rock Ranch, and visited Lava River Cave at the Newberry National Volcanic Monument.
