Since January, Rebecca Evans and I have been on a shared book tour to celebrate the release of our new respective books, Lost Cathedral and AfterBurn.

During 2026, Rebecca and I are offering 1-2 workshops, readings, and other literary ephemera each month as a way to give back to the literary community that has embraced, supported, and inspired us and our work. 

This post includes photos from five of the ten events Rebecca and I curated during the first five months of our book tour.

Stein Luminary | Boise State University | February 28th

In February, Rebecca and I kicked of the tour with an event at the Keith and Catherine Stein Luminary at Boise State University. The event celebrated women artists across demographics and disciplines through dynamic art installations and storytelling from women authors across Idaho.

Featured artists included Kirsten Furlong, MJ Pope, Luma Jasim, Diane Raptosh, CMarie Fuhrman, Chloe Bliss Snyder, Rebecca Evans and myself. Event photos are above (Photo Credit: Mia Miller).

Spring Solstice Reading | Scoria Vineyards | March 16th

In March, Rebecca and I invited writers, artists, and performers across the Treasure Valley to help us celebrate spring through a solstice-themed event at the Scoria Vineyards tasting room.

Featured readers and performers included David Gallipoli, Diana Forgione, Hailey Frogley, Ryan Marsh, Jodeen Revere, Teal Gardner, Leta Harris Neustaedter, Rebecca Evans, and myself.

After the reading, we held an auction which featured donated goods from Boise Farmers Market, Edwards Greenhouse, Polum Bolum, Draggin’ Wing High Desert Nursery, Snake River Seeds, and the Idaho Native Plant Society, who also donated native plant guides as door prizes for audience members.

Treefort Music Fest | Rediscovered Books | Book Signing

During Treefort Music Fest, Rebecca and I were lucky enough to do a book signing at the Rediscovered Books booth at the Treefort Market (new for 2026). Rebecca also facilitated a panel and I did a reading for Storyfort during Treefort this year as well.

Reading | The Lit Room @ Oldspeak | April 12th

On April 12th, Rebecca and I read at a local authors reading at The Lit Room at Oldspeak Book Bar in Garden City. The other featured readers included Chelsea Major (proprietor of TLR/Oldspeak), Tomas Baiza, and Clyde Moneyhun.
