This fall, I had the opportunity to participate in two Boise-based readings. This post covers information and photos from both readings.
This September, I participated in the College of Innovation and Design’s MashUp: Little Lectures in an Odd World event series. The series pairs experts in different fields who each present a talk about their research. Afterwards, audience members have to combine the two talks into questions to ask the presenters.

In April, I did a poetry reading at MING Studios as part of their 7 o’clock reading series.

Continue readingI recently participated in two literary readings: Flipside Fest in September and the Death Rattle 9th Anniversary Showcase in November.
Flipside Fest is a music and art festival put on by the Duck Club in Garden City, Idaho as a way to harness the energy from the Treefort Music Festival that happens in Idaho every spring.

This May, I read at an event at KIN that showcased art, music, and literature from the 60+ awardees of grants from the Treasure Valley COVID-19 Cultural Commissioning Fund. I read some pieces from my Surel’s Place Residency.


In August, I got to be an Artist-in-Residence at Surel’s Place, an art center in Garden City that hosts artists from around the world.
The center was originally the home of Surel Lee Mitchell, an Idaho-based visual artist who helped create the Surel Mitchell Live-Work-Create District.
