This month, I had the opportunity to read from my forthcoming poetry collection Lost Cathedral as part of the Writers Read series at the Ada Community Library in Star, ID.

For a few years, I’ve been learning the native wildflowers on Mores Mountain in the Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area within the Boise National Forest. Mores Mountain is known for spectacular views and incredible wildflower displays, the best I’ve seen in the Treasure Valley. I thought I’d share some of the flowers I saw on the trails in May, June, and July.


In August, I got to be an Artist-in-Residence at Surel’s Place, an art center in Garden City that hosts artists from around the world.
The center was originally the home of Surel Lee Mitchell, an Idaho-based visual artist who helped create the Surel Mitchell Live-Work-Create District.
